Response to Lorraine Moss and Jan Sargent - Crime on Harold Hill
This post was updated on .
We have been following this story and the residents of Harold Hill are quite right to be concerned.
Councillor Keith Darvill (Lab, Heaton) said: “There is a perception that crime is has increased but overall the levels over the past 15 years have actually diminished.”
In councillor Darvill’s own ward (Heaton) reported crime in March 206 was 116 offences, September 2016 reported crime was 117 and in March 2017 were 116 reported offences – No fall there..
In the last 12 months crime in Gooshays ward has increased by 43%. In March 2016 there were 163 reported crimes in Gooshays ward – This increased to 199 by September 2016 and by March 2017 had reached 232 reported crimes.
It is the same story in Harold Wood ward where there has been a 145% increase in reported crime. In March 2016 there were 54 reported crimes in Harold Wood, by September 2016 this increased to 81 reported crimes and by March 2017 reported crime in Harold Wood ward had reached 130 offences.
I think you are having the wool pulled over your eyes, crime in Havering is going through the roof.
“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth.”
