Re: Poet's Corner

Ho-Hum
When the cell door clangs shut
Will Vicky Pryce be full of tears
Using a hammer to crack a nut
Was not too clever one fears
She and her ex were stupid
Nobody is above the law
The saga was rather putrid
And actually became a bore.

Re: Poet's Corner

ticking boxes,ticking boxes
Little boxes made of ticky-tacky,
ticking boxes,Little boxes,
and they all look just the same.
There's a green form and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
They're all made out of ticky-tacky,
And they all look just the same.

we got some white ones
and some brown ones
we even got a yellow one,
and they're all put in little boxes,
And they all came out the same.
There's some doctors and lawyers
And business executives,
They're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

what a success, what a success
this multicultural experiment
and they all live in perfect harmony
and they all act just the same
hitting targets, hitting targets
so positively undiscriminating
And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.
If we learn from our mistakes, why aint I a genius, If you educate the masses where's the advantage for the few?

Re: Poet's Corner

If angry is so boring
And only full of crap
Why does it keep drawing
Posters back old chap

Views may often clash
To make the blood rise
Comments turn to trash
Or sometimes breed lies

Yet to keep the peace
We share a joke or two
The forum will not cease
How ever much you rue

So just keep on posting
Thank the owner of the site
Who kindly does the hosting
That you can put things right.

Re: Poet's Corner

Ho-Hum
To be FRANK who'd be the pope
Just surrounded by men all day
No women, no booze, no dope
Without an urge to have it away
A life of prayer and serving others
Committed to reverent piety
Among a band of holy brothers
Praising the heavenly deity
If this grace was cast upon me
I know that I could not cope
Would I fall down on to my knee
And plead that I have no hope.

confused of hornchurch

I couldn't cope with that popemobile, I'd want something a bit faster than that.

the tux is pressed and the champaign flows
at the self congratulating awards
our old are sitting in their outdoor clothes
with breath condensating on the walls
the cuisine is served with pride at the ritz
then rapturous applause for the rewarded
but our highstreets now resemble the blitz
with one out of three shops boarded

Poor Eric Joyce enjoys a drink
Loves hear the glasses chink
I tell you this with a wink
One or two he likes to sink
Six and seven he's at the brink
Which is when he cannot think
The zero time he's lost the link
With reality sad gink
Ali shuffle and a jink
Throws a punch while turning pink
Oh he causes such a stink
Stating it was just a dink
In his head he has a kink
This very foolish mad rat fink.

GAZZER
A legend born..

People stared at the fur on my face,
Laughed at my long blond hair, my animal grace,
The boy in the bright blue jeans-sprang up in a  rage
And tooth and claw ripped away the sheeple race,
Of darkness and disgrace-GAZZER showed his wolfed face.

If you try to cure evil with evil-you will add more pain to your fate.

Two shy gays got married
They went on their funnymoon
Saying too long we've tarried
Then each began to swoon
Not being sure what to do
Both hopped in bed together
And each wore pink and blue
Wondering whether or whether.

Let's have a laugh said the banksters
We'll take dip into our clients accounts
Oh what fun for us pranksters
A nibble here and there soon mounts
It's so easy to get out of debt
Our depositors are merely pawns
We don't understand why they fret
While their whinging brings on yawns
We banksters never get caught
Of course we can do as we please
And you won't see us in court
For having fun and a little tease.

Cllr Walter Mitty White
Lives on a different plane
Now disappearing from sight
May not be seen again
They seek him here
They seek him there
Up and down changing gear
Residents seek him everywhere
Is he in Heaven
Or is he in Hell
Can he make a meeting at seven
It's really too early to tell.

The missing link.

Happy Easter everyone
Remember what it's for
Do enjoy a hot cross bun
You're under grace not law.

Re: Poet's Corner

that time again when all the garbage
turn on the box to watch the carnage
they call it sport, they call it acceptable
but in my view  it's utterly contemptible
big money controls this savage event
as the noble steeds suffer ravaged torment
If we learn from our mistakes, why aint I a genius, If you educate the masses where's the advantage for the few?

Cause the event is so funky.

Well I didn't back the winner
Mine struggled to come  third
Limping home on a zimmer
And not flying like a bird.

Re: Poet's Corner

Ding dong the witch lives on
So have a burn Bundy party
The iron lady will never be gone
Enjoy your fun and be hearty
Why not have a huge rave
Put out bunting and streamers
Let's do a jig on her grave
With balloons for her misdeneanours
Champagne bottles are popping
The fizz is making us gay
We can't stop skipping and hopping
Now she's laid in cadaverous clay
The worms will feast on her brains
And ants can suck out her eyes
Oh for such jolly refrains
we're hungry for cakes and pies
Ding dong the witch lives on
Enjoy the wonderful party
The iron lady will never be gone
So I'll settle for a coffee latte.

Re: Poet's Corner

Do hope that's a compliment Terry
I might change my coffee to sherry
Too soon our bones are ready to bury
In the mean time let's make merry.
