What's Ska...

Ska is a musical form blending Jamaican music like calypso with jazz, blues or rock-Most people are familiar with ska music produced in the 1980s by bands like the Specials and Madness. However, the form significantly predates the 1980s. It is thought to have developed as far back as the 1930s.

-Heron of Greece invented steam power in 50 BC- but the leaders of the day thought that it would cause unemployment and the invention ran out of steam. The steam engine reappeared in the 1600s in Ferdinand Verbiest’s steam car and then years later again, in 1804, when English inventor Richard Trevithick introduced the steam locomotive in Wales. In 1815, George Stephenson built the world’s first workable steam locomotive. In 1845, another steam engine manufacturer, Peter Cooper of New York (who built the Tom Thumb, the first American steam locomotive), concocted a gelatine dessert made almost entirely of sugar… which became popular as Jell-O.

Beside his work in astronomy, Verbiest also experimented with steam. Around 1672 he designed – as a toy for the Chinese Emperor – a steam-propelled trolley which was, quite possibly, the first working steam-powered vehicle ('auto-mobile').[17] Verbiest describes it in his work Astronomia Europea. As it was only 65 cm long, and therefore effectively a scale model, not designed to carry human passengers, nor a driver, it is not strictly accurate to call it a 'car'.[18]

In the 1990s, it was the Kurdish population of Turkey that suffered the most brutal repression. Tens of thousands were killed, thousands of towns and villages were destroyed, millions driven from the lands and homes, with hideous barbarity and torture. The Clinton administration gave crucial support throughout, providing Turkey lavishly with means of destruction. In the single year 1997, Clinton sent more arms to Turkey than the US sent to this major ally during the entire Cold War period combined up to the onset of the counterinsurgency operations. Turkey became the leading recipient of US arms, apart from Israel-Egypt, a separate category. Clinton provided 80% of Turkish arms, doing his utmost to ensure that Turkish violence would succeed. Virtual media silence made a significant contribution to these efforts.

Governments and private industry use propaganda techniques that manipulate your minds and subvert your will-its a combination of stuff-however they use what's called 4 minute men who are specially trained in advocacy and manipulative the audience within 4 minutes, the maximum span of human attention.

I have sometimes been called a 1 minute man but in a different context.

In the 1890s it was the Turkish Armenian population that suffered the worst with millions killed or displaced this was done with the knowledge and assistance of the British Empire who at the time were courting the Turkish as a Buffer against Russian expansion.Of course the war and the first needs for access to oil soon changed that.
