CCTV Enforcement Driver Caught On Camera Sleeping On The Job !

Lorraine Moss

This photo was taken at around 9am this morning in Straight Road near Hilldene School.  It was taken by a resident and posted on the Harold Hill Community Facebook page.

Since when is it deemed ok to sleep on the job?  This is a total disgrace.  Since when do people get paid for sleeping?

Percy.
Poor fellow has probably been up all night unable to sleep with all that bad Karma. With hundreds of people wishing him ill, he needs support and a nap.

Nice one! That's how the original 'Angry of Havering' was born, to watch those that watch us.

Will he get a disciplinary, or a £120 fine?

Hello Lorr
Send this to Robert Benham for his comments.
Does the driver of this vehicle pay tax as those who have company cars do?
Ask Benham for his reaction.

This is the official response.  However, the lady that took the photo could see that he was sleeping and so did several other residents, this is the comment from another resident "That's bs coz he had his head back with his mouth wide open when I went past!!!"

Thats a great reply from mister Everett.  I know two people that work at Havering, not in mister Everetts section and nothing to do with this thread----  They both say its a cushy number as managers arent interested in managing and even if they were they arent up to it!   The staff call the shots!  Im going to try and get a job there.

Good to see such a prompt reply from Mr Everett, but with all due respects, his answer is a load of bollox.
I have no doubt that the 'enforcement officer' had his monitoring equipment running and I can also accept that he may have been monitoring a screen before taking his 'power nap'.

Why then, when he was flash photographed by 'a group of residents', did he not remonstrate with them?
May I suggest that the answer is because he had nodded off?

Mr Everett suggests that photographs can be misinterpreted and I thank him for those comments as I have been suggesting that for five years now.

In a court of law, who would have the most credibility, the lone operative or the resident photographer with several other independent witnesses?

Lastly, I suggest the employee is given additional training on the dangers of driving whilst incapacitated due to fatigue. This could make him a menace not only to himself but other law-abiding road users and/or pedestrians. I believe that this photograph was taken in the vicinity of a local school.

Answer: Because he was asleep.

Council answer: because he had a slight obstruction in his windpipe.

I think it would be a kind gesture for all the people in the area to bang on the side of the van to make sure he is awake

Now I've finished reading this cock John Everett's response I can only say the following. In my own dealings with Havering council officers and my own long running spat with them this is just typical of the lies put out from middle/senior managers to cover up the shenanigans neglect or damn right deceit of their staff aka I cant be bothered by to deal with this and go away you little oik just pay your council tax to keep my overpaid arse on a seat. Having read this prats statement and his rapid response it seems to me almost like a stock reply ie if one of his twats gets caught knapping on the job here's the response to deceive us council tax payers. Not just the lady who took the photo but it seems other eye witnesses have stated independently the guy was asleep. Was Everett there on the spot to see for himself? No he wasn't. Well it proves Havering officials are just liars. Perhaps this site should not only expose the antics of MP's councillors and senior managers but also middle managers and low ranking officers. Just a wee thought. Is John Everett related to Kenny Everett. Probably not the great Kenny made people laugh with a genuine sense of humour.
